Content & Data Policy
How Grantsbase sources funding-opportunity information, how to opt out, and how to request correction or removal of content under our notice-and-takedown process.
Where our data comes from
Grantsbase aggregates publicly available information about grants, loans, cost-shares, tax credits, and other funding opportunities — primarily from government agencies, public registries, and the funders’ own published notices. We organize and link to these opportunities to help applicants discover them. Each fund record links back to its original source.
Notice-and-takedown — request correction or removal
If you represent an entity and want content about you corrected, removed, or opted out — or if you spot wrong or outdated information — you can ask us to act:
- Use our Report a problem / Request content removal form, or
- Email our designated contact at [email protected].
Please include the URL of the page or record in question and a brief explanation. When we receive a valid removal request, we hide the affected content promptly while we review, and follow up with you at the email you provide.
How new sources are handled
When our systems encounter a new data source for the first time, that source is held for review and its records are not published until we have checked it for compliance and approved it. This “pending until approved” gate is applied per source, before its content goes live.
Opting out
Funders and entities may request that a source or listing be excluded from Grantsbase. Submit an opt-out via the request form (choose “Opt a source / listing out”), and we will remove the listing and suppress future re-publication from that source.
Copyright concerns
Factual funding information is generally not subject to copyright, but if you believe specific copyrighted material has been used improperly, send a notice — including identification of the work, the URL where it appears, your contact information, and a good-faith statement — to [email protected]. We respond to valid notices promptly.
