Prior to 2024, this state grant was administered by the former South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). The SCDE administers these funds in accordance with the legislative proviso 1.101. (SDE: Abstinence Until Marriage Evidence-Based Programs Funding). Evidence-based programs are , and/or program models that have been evaluated using rigorous evaluation design such as randomized controlled or high-quality quasi-experimental trials and that have demonstrated positive impacts for communities. Program Office Office of Student Support Eligible Applicants Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that can document their capacity to implement Evidence-based programs that promote abstinence-until-marriage program services for youth ages 10-19 in priority areas of the state . Total Funding Available $546,972 Funding Detail SCDE anticipates awarding more than one grant. The award amount will be determined based on the quality of applications received and total funding requested.
