The program is designed to teach youth personal setting, healthy decision-making, a focus on the future, and the prevention of youth risk behaviors such as drug and alcohol use without normalizing teen sexual activity. Program Office Office of Student Support Eligible Applicant An eligible applicant is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose proposed program curricula meets all A-H Title V, Section 510 definitions of Abstinence Education, as defined in the 2017 Social Security Act (Section 510 of the Social Security Act (42 § 710). The curricula also must be deemed research-based by  WeAscend.org . Total Funding Available Approximately $1,110,000 Funding Detail The SCDE anticipates awarding more than one subaward. The minimum award is $100,000, and the maximum award cannot exceed $600,000.
