The Public Diplomacy Section of the Embassy Tegucigalpa is pleased to announce an open competition for past participants (“alumni”) of government-sponsored exchange programs to submit applications to the 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2025). We seek proposals from teams of at least two alumni that meet all program eligibility requirements below. Exchange alumni interested in participating in AEIF 2025 should submit proposals to: [email protected] by April 30, 2025, 23:59 pm (CST). AEIF provides alumni of government-sponsored and -facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skills gained during their exchange experience to design and implement innovative solutions to global challenges facing their community. Since its inception in 2011, AEIF has funded nearly 500 alumni-led projects around the world through a competitive global competition. AEIF is designed to increase the impact of the U.S government’s relationship with exchange alumni, advance foreign policy goals and amplify the U.S government’s return on investment in exchange programs. For AEIF 2025, the Embassy in Honduras will review projects proposed and managed by teams composed of at least two (2) alumni that support themes such as: Reduce the causes of illegal migration. Foster economic growth. Promote entrepreneurship. Promote the application of technology and innovation. Promote education and the English language for economic development.
