About this opportunity

The overarching goal of this award is to build capacity within the national laboratory network to deliver quality laboratory diagnostics of HIV/AIDS related opportunistic infections, particularly TB. The Pasteur Institute Cote d’Ivoire will collaborate with various sub-departments and central laboratories of the Ministry of Health and the CDC-Retro-CI laboratory to improve coordination and implementation of laboratory activities with the National Public Health Laboratory (LNSP), TB laboratory network and at least 19 regional hospitals. This award will directly improve the quality and availability of laboratory testing nationwide, HIV/AIDS opportunistic infection surveillance, the quality of laboratory data, and strengthen infrastructure and human resource capacities. This award will also support the Pasteur Institute to strengthen its own capacity to participate as a reference laboratory in national and international public health evaluations.
