About this opportunity

The purpose of this FOA is to provide funds from the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013 ( 113-02) to support research in the priority areas (below) to aid recovery from the public health impact of Hurricane Sandy. This research program is within the HHS and CDC overall strategy to build the scientific evidence-base and its application to public health recovery practice. Funds will be provided to benefit all or part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) declared major disaster states, which are: Hampshire, New Jersey New Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Eligible applicants and/or co-applicants must be based or have significant operations in one of these states, including the District of Columbia.
