It promotes the state's film and television industry internationally while highlighting Colorado's unique rural areas. Colorado’s film incentive program has generated $170.9 million in economic impact to 55 counties in Colorado and created over 5,600 cast and crew positions since its inception. Colorado Film Incentive : This incentive encourages film production in Colorado with a performance-based refundable tax for up to 22% of qualified expenses. Colorado Film Location Directory : This directory is a database of filmable locations across Colorado that filmmakers can search by type of location. Film Festival Support and Promotion Sponsorship : This sponsorship provides financial support to help communities start and host successful film festivals in Colorado. Film Festival Tax Credit : The Film Festival Tax Credit, established by HB 25-1005, offers incentives to a globally recognized film festival to relocate to Colorado, and to existing film festivals by providing financial support for qualifying expenditures related to organizing and hosting their film festival in Colorado.
