About this opportunity

This project will simultaneously strengthen countries’ capacity to prevent and respond to climate-sensitive infectious disease risks, while also strengthening resilience to climate change and extreme weather events. The implementer will work intensively with 1-2 countries in the Indo-Pacific region that were heavily affected by dengue outbreaks in 2019, and for which no early warning system currently exists. These outbreaks will also have generated timely and applicable health data sets, which can be paired with climate data sets to create an evidence-based predictive model. This predictive model can form the basis for country-level early warning systems moving forward.
