The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a grant agreement to The Klamath Tribes for the following program – Endangered Species Program Support – Upper Klamath Lake (UKL), under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.517, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act of 1934, Public Law 85-624, 16 661 et seq., as amended and the authority to the Bureau of Reclamation at 255 DM 1.1B. Estimated total amount of agreement is $2,533,946.00 with Reclamation providing $510,140.00 in Fiscal Year 2014. The purpose of this requirement is to allow for continued monitoring of water quality conditions in Upper Klamath Lake and tributary nutrient loading. Long-term monitoring of water quality allows continued evaluation of lake management operations, effects of climatic variables, and evaluation of restoration activities in the watershed. (Refer to Notice of Intent (NOI) to award announcement No. R14AN20004 for additional information). A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
