About this opportunity

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to build on existing PEPFAR-supported HIV services as well as CDC-supported maternal and child health programs in Haiti and provide support to local indigenous institutions to sustain the delivering of high quality integrated clinical services in a network of service provision in the Northeast and West departments of Haiti. The support for services is to include but is not limited to activities that: (1) improve HIV prevention and care services through expansion and strengthening of HIV testing and counseling (HTC), prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT), HIV care including prevention and treatment of opportunistic infections, TB/HIV, and laboratory services in all of these facilities; (2) strengthen anti-retroviral therapy (ART) services in all 5 institutions of this network with a particular emphasis on early ART initiation, adherence monitoring, and retention on treatment; (3) strengthen and expand TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment and (4) improve primary care services with a focus on maternal and child health (MCH). Services will be supported in collaboration with the Northeast Department Health Directorate. This network primarily includes the following institutions and their satellite centers: Centre de Santé de Mont Organisé, Centre de Santé de Trou du Nord, Centre de Santé de Terrier Rouge, Centre de Santé de Mombin Crochu (all in Northeast Department), and Centre de Santé de Petite Place Cazeau (West Department). Applications should consider these institutions as a network and propose strategies that will reinforce and strengthen it, leading to sustainability and ownership in line with the USG’s partnership framework agreement with the Government of Haiti.
