FY 2026-27 Sexual Assault Response Teams (XS) Program Supplemental

Purpose: The purpose of the Program is to fund a full-time Sexual Assault Counselor, per Evidence Code § 1035.2, to act as a SART Advocate to take a lead role in the planning and coordinating of SART efforts in their local community with the goal of improving the quality of, response to, and services for, sexual assault victims/survivors. Eligibility Requirements Eligible Applicants: Nonprofit For an organization to be able to submit a proposal and/or eligible to compete for funding ( read and rated) they must meet the following requirements: Be a Cal OES-funded Rape Crisis (RC) Program Subrecipient. Important Dates Application deadline The date (and time, where applicable) by which all applications must be submitted to the grantmaker. Time listed as “00:00” equates to midnight. 9/1/26 23:59 Expected award announcement The date on which the grantor expects to announce the recipient(s) of the grant. 11/02/26 Period of performance The length of time during which the grant money must be utilized. 01/01/27 – 12/31/27 Funding Details Total estimated available funding The total projected dollar amount of the grant. $90,000 Expected number of awards A single grant opportunity may represent one or many awards. Some grantors may know in advance the exact number of awards to be given. Others may indicate a range. Some may wish to and wait until the application period closes before determining how many awards to offer; in this case, a value of “Dependent” will display. 1 – 10 Estimated amount per award Grant opportunities representing multiple awards may offer awards in the same amount or in varied amounts.
