A.Project Goals Interns will collaborate in a variety of resource restoration projects. Interns will work alongside NPS employees to gain more experience working in the Natural Resources field. B.Project Objectives Interns will collaborate with NPS employees in the planning of the restoration work activities including reconstruction of trails; decommissioning and rehabilitation of abandoned roads and off-road vehicles disturbances; assessing, repairing and constructing off-road barriers and ungulate management fencing; native plant salvage and seed collection; native plant propagation and out planting; rare plant monitoring; and removing non-native invasive plants from rare plant and vector locations. These objective will help the vegetation program at Lake Mead NRA manage the land better and provide feedback on the status of all the activities listed above to park management.
