About this opportunity

-Purpose. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages investigators to submit applications studying the impact of health information technology on health interventions and services. Studies related to the impact of technology on the delivery of health-related information as well as health-related clinical interventions are encouraged. Because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary. The total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the mechanism costs of the applications received. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Research Project Grant (R01) award mechanism and runs in parallel with FOAs of identical scientific scope, PA-06-224 and PA-06-225 that solicit applications under the R21 and R03 mechanisms, respectively. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. Awards issued under this FOA are contingent upon the availability of funds and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications.
