About this opportunity

The Arizona Commerce Authority's International Trade Program offers Arizona-based companies valuable export services to amplify their trade opportunities in international markets. Services include assistance and trade counseling, getting started, contact facilitation, company background, export leads, educational programs, and more. We offer global exposure to Arizona's small- and medium-sized companies through coordinated trade missions to Europe, Latin America, Canada and Asia and participation in world-class trade shows such as the Paris Air Show, Farnborough International Air Show and Green Expo Mexico City. EXPORT COUNSELING From basic questions about getting started to specific concerns about developing the export side of your business, our team consists of experts in the intricacies of marketing abroad. In addition to comprehensive general free trade information, market reports, statistics and online resources, we help you find interested trading partners, sponsors “how to" workshops, and meet with you and your staff to assist in developing your individualized trade strategy. GETTING STARTED Your first step is to identify the most lucrative potential market for your products or services. We will assist with country-specific information gathered by embassies and consulates detailing market size, distribution channels, and major players; reference materials/resources for your industry, including the export guide by the International Trade Administration "A Basic Guide to Exporting;" and reports on worldwide trends in your primary target areas. For some consumer goods as part of the export documentation, you must complete a certificate of free sale which certifies that the products to be exported are consumed in the United States. Located in areas of strong trade partnerships, the state’s offices in Canada (Toronto),  Mexico (Mexico City and Chihuahua), Israel (Tel Aviv), Europe (Frankfurt, Germany), Taiwan (Taipei),  Republic of Korea (Seoul) and Japan (Tokyo) provide support for Arizona businesses to increase international trade, cross-border economic and commercial ties. In addition, the trade specialists in Mexico work with Arizona companies who are near-shoring to help leverage cross-border supply chains. These relationships lend long-term growth opportunities in global markets and prove critical for companies looking to import or export goods. TRADE MISSIONS AND CATALOG / TRADE SHOWS ACA trade missions are designed to introduce small- and medium-sized Arizona businesses to international markets. Our trade staff will help you identify prospective partners/distributors, schedule meetings, arrange for interpreters and networking events. These missions provide an opportunity to assess target markets first hand. We also invite Arizona businesses to exhibit at trade and catalog shows around the world. You can buy your own booth space or share with another Arizona firm. In some cases, you may promote your export business through catalog shows attended by our trade staff. Contact Us
