The DOE Building Technologies Office Emerging Technologies program is announcing the availability of up to 3 million dollars in funding to develop energy efficient replacement lamps in general illumination applications. DOE seeks projects to develop suitable replacement lamps that meet or exceed the 45 lm/W backstop requirement for one or more incandescent general service lamp categories and that maintain the lumen output of the incandescent lamps they are designed to replace.
