About this opportunity

A.Project Goals This maintenance project will remove excess vegetation, repair trails in and around cultural and natural sensitive areas at Parashant National Monument. B.Project Objectives This maintenance project will treat vegetation encroaching on historic structures and fences, repair fences designed to prevent the entry of livestock and feral animals into sensitive areas such as cultural sites and springs, and repair unpaved roads/trails to provide a better visitor experience to these sites. The areas that will be focused on are the Tassi Ranch cultural landscape, fence line, springs and forage reserves. This will require the use of a variety of tools and techniques to cater to the treatment of that particular area. The crews will learn about these techniques, tools to be used and their proper uses in the context of cultural and natural resource restoration and protection.
