The focus of this grant program is to provide state resources that help regions invest in building broadband infrastructure in unserved and underserved areas of the state. Applicants could fund only the acquisition and installation of retail broadband internet service with baseline speeds of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload in the area proposed to be served. Examples of generally eligible project costs included: Construction of broadband facilities, Final engineering and construction Validation of service. Total government assistance and grant award could cover as much as, but may not exceed, 50% of eligible project expenses. The program is currently not accepting applications.
