Home Grants SBIR/STTR Matching Grant SBIR/STTR Matching Grant Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Matching Grant provides recipients additional resources to commercialize the technology developed with federal funding. This program leverages the Federal funding for SBIR/STTR recipients, whose technologies have been vetted by national experts and have been awarded for proof-of-concept and R&D activities. State-level matching programs nationwide are found to lead to follow-on funding, stimulate business growth and expansion, generate wealth, and increase tax revenue and commercial viability of the receiving firms. The funding provided through the NM SBIR/STTR Matching Grant is intended to accelerate the commercialization of technologies developed with federal SBIR/STTR grant awards. These awards will fund New Mexico headquartered technology companies with the goal of market entry, customer acquisition, business expansion, and job creation. Every eligible NM SBIR/STTR Matching Grant application will be evaluated based on these objectives.
