Oregon Broadband Office Site Navigation Oregon Broadband Office Oregon boasts a world-class telecommunications infrastructure that extends throughout much of the state. Multiple fiber optic backbone networks with diverse routing provide excellent network reliability and connectivity. Yet there is still a digital divide, which is why the Oregon Broadband Office will utilize state and federal grants to fund the deployment of reliable high-speed training to those who need it. Digital Connectivity Technology Program (ARPA CPF) Awardees Announced! The ARPA CPF Digital Connectivity Technology Program made available $6.8 million for internet-enabled computing devices and public Wi-Fi equipment. BEAD Final Proposal Approved Oregon will achieve 100% broadband coverage in BEAD eligible locations with 19 awardees and 313 total projects. OBO wants to thank our entire community of broadband advocates for this historic milestone. Read full press release . Oregon Broadband Map The Oregon Broadband Map does contain BEAD layers Oregon Broadband Advisory Council (OBAC) The Oregon Broadband Advisory Council (OBAC) was created in the 2009 Legislative session and was approved on March 23, 2022, which modified the composition and duties of the council in preparation for historic federal broadband investment. Some of the modifications include new representation for rural businesses, urban digital equity interests of historically disadvantaged communities.
