About this opportunity

Description Overview OVC sets program goals and collects performance measures data that demonstrate grantees’ achievements. All OVC funding recipients are required to collect and report performance measures data that demonstrate the results of funded activities. Where can I find sample performance measures? OVC performance measures can be found in the Notice of Funding Opportunity, through a link or in the performance measures table in the funding opportunity’s appendix. Notice of Funding Opportunities are available on the  Current Funding Opportunities webpage for the current fiscal year or the  Expired Funding Opportunities webpage for previous fiscal years. Uniform Grants Guidance and Legislation The reported data also assists OVC with fulfilling its responsibilities under the Uniform Grants Guidance and multiple pieces of federal legislation: Grant Reporting Efficiency and Agreements Transparency Act  (2019), Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act (2018), Government Performance and Results Act-Modernization Act  (2010), and Revisions to the Uniform Grants Guidance (2 200). Why do grantees report performance measures data? OVC funding recipients are required to collect and report data to demonstrate the results and quality of funded activities to ensure compliance with the  Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 which was updated through through the Government Performance and Results Act-Modernization Act in 2010. Reporting performance measures data promotes the following— public confidence in the Federal Government, Federal agency accountability for achieving program results, program effectiveness and service delivery, and enhanced congressional decisionmaking. OVC uses grantee performance measures data to— identify training and technical assistance needs; track award activity and progress toward program goals; revise program designs and implementation strategies; and inform budgets, strategic planning, and funding decisions. What are performance measures? Performance measures are the data—specific values or characteristics—reported by grantees that measure the output or outcome of a grantee’s activities and services toward the goals and objectives of OVC’s programs. These measures help capture outcomes over time and enable pre- and post-comparisons that can be used to facilitate change as needed. The regular collection of performance measures allows OVC to assess if the correct processes are performed and the desired results achieved.
