Pre-Seed Financing Overview Through Connecticut Innovations, the state's strategic venture capital arm, there is financing available for innovative, growing companies. In fact, Connecticut Innovations administers a targeted Pre-Seed Fund, which provides up to $150,000 to help early-stage companies grow. More than money, the fund includes mentoring, resources and introductions to powerful connections that can help you turn your idea into a commercially viable business. Eligibility Connecticut Innovations seeks to invest in companies that have been operating less than seven years that are: based in Connecticut or willing to move here; focused on innovations in  tech, photonics and advanced materials; employing fewer than 25 people (at least 75% of whom are in Connecticut).
