(Montgomery County) Public Art The Public Art Across Maryland Program promotes and supports the inclusion of art in the everyday experiences of Marylanders. What is Public Art?  It can be work of any kind in any media, indoors or outdoors, temporary or permanent, free and accessible, that engages the community who will experience the work. Through direct assistance, and professional development we support those caring for art in public spaces across the state. Public Art Roster The Public Artist Roster  is a vetted directory of artists interested in Artwork Commission projects in Maryland. Use the search labels to sort artists by or find a public artist based in Maryland! Artwork Commissions The Artwork Commissions program contracts artists to create artwork for new or renovated state buildings. Artists interested in being considered for Artwork Commissions should apply to the  Maryland Public Artist Roster.
