About this opportunity

Opportunity Type: Request for Proposals (RFP) Close Date: November 20, 2026 Important Dates: Pre-proposal conference: 10 Oct. 6, 2026 Q&A period closes: Oct. 12, 2026 Applications due: 3 Nov. 20, 2026 Proposers notified: Dec. 11, 2026 The Washington State Broadband Office (WSBO) is seeking a third-party broadband engineer firm or company to provide final inspection services for all BEAD project areas within Washington. WSBO has approximately 180 project areas requiring final inspection. These projects are located throughout the state and on tribal land. The third-party contractor will be responsible for providing a physical audit, conducted by engineers and/or compliance teams, to verify that the deployed network matches approved engineering designs and meets federal and state performance standards before project closeout. The technical and cost proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the SBO. The final selection of the third-party contractor will be based on an independent review of the Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) aspects of each proposal. We intend to award multiple contracts to provide the services described in this RFP. Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, BEAD is a federal grant program that aims to promote online access for all Americans by funding partnerships between states or stakeholders to build infrastructure where it is needed and increase the adoption of high-speed internet.
