SITES Program Pillars Distribution and administration of allocated ARPA and PREP funds Project selection, distribution and administration of unallocated PREP funds Assist communities in identifying industrial sites Construction and implementation of new Oklahoma SITES program Why invest in infrastructure? Oklahoma is committed to making legacy improvement into industrial site infrastructure to take advantage of economic development opportunities and foster an environment of business growth potential. Project Selection & Distribution of Unallocated PREP Funds for Industrial Site Planning Oklahoma communities may apply to receive funds from the Progressing Rural Economic Prosperity (PREP Fund) for the pre-development engineered planning and site design of an industrial park. This application round referred to as “Prep-D” allows Oklahoma communities to apply to receive a portion of the remaining $3.3 million in funds from the PREP Fund. Applications accepted May 1 – May 15, 2024. Program Eligibility Projects must be designed to plan industrial parks. through preliminary engineering and site design Preliminary design can include a wide range of preliminary engineering and other activities and analyses, including but not limited to: Environmental assessments Topographic surveys Metes and bonds surveys Geotechnical investigations Hydrologic analysis Hydraulic analysis Utility engineering Traffic studies Financial plans Revenue estimates Hazardous materials assessments General estimates of the types and quantities of materials, and other work needed to establish parameters for the final design How to apply: Applications must be submitted through grants.ok.gov . Entities are required to pre-register through the portal before applying. Registration takes approximately five minutes, but portal account approval may take up to two business days after the registration is submitted. Entities that are already registered through OKGrants do not need to register again. Apply for the SITES Program Project Selection & Distribution of Unallocated PREP Funds In 2023, Oklahoma communities could apply to receive funds from the Progressing Rural Economic Prosperity (PREP Fund) for the creation of new industrial sites or address infrastructure needs at existing sites. Applications accepted March 20-May 31, 2023. Program Eligibility Projects must be designed to create nationally marketable industrial sites.
