The goal of this program is to increase trust of the public in local governance, particularly law enforcement and the criminal justice system in Cameroon’s Far North Region.Applications funded under this announcement should address the following objectives:Objective 1: Improve the understanding of citizens who are vulnerable to radicalization in the Far North Region of the mission and priorities of law enforcement, including the importance of providing information and participating in the criminal justice system. Objective 2: Open lines of communication between local communities and officers of the police and gendarmerie so that they communicate with citizens in a more professional manner and better understand their concerns.Objective 3: Increase understanding between the justice system and the population and improve access and participation for the public, particularly in terrorism cases.
