About this opportunity

The Department of Interior, National Park Service, North Cascades National Park, intends to make a single source award to the State of Washington, Department of Ecology, Washington Conservation Corps, Box 47600, Olympia, WA 98504-7600. This is a noncompetitive award in accordance with Department of Interior Policy, Departmental Manual 505DM2 based upon Unique Qualifications and Cost Sharing. WCC is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon demonstrated support capacity, cost sharing ability, technical expertise, and other unique qualifications as outlined in this document. The National Park Service, North Cascades National Park, intends to award a nine month Cooperative Agreement based upon this announcement. Once awarded, Task Agreements for campground rehabilitation and trail related work will be issued against the Cooperative Agreement with an estimated value of $50,000. All work is to be performed in calendar year 2010 and WCC has indicated that matching funding is available for the projects.THIS FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO PROVIDE PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, INTENTION TO FUND THE FOLLOWING PROJECT ACTIVITIES WITHOUT FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. This announcement is modified to include additional work identified at Olympic National Park, Port Angeles, Washington and Mount Rainier National Park, Ashford, Washington. OLYM and MORA anticipate requirements totaling approximately $250,000 for general trail rehabilitation and maintenance work. Matching funding for the additional work is not anticipated. This action remains a single source award directed to a known recipient as outlined in the synopsis and application documents.
