It will highlight how the amount of funding available to borrowers in Georgia depends on participation in the survey. Lead Service Line Inventory Update Staff from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) and GEFA provide water utilities with an update regarding resources and financing for the completion of lead service line inventories. Principal Forgiveness in State Revolving Fund Loan applicants that meet certain criteria are not required to repay the full loan amount. In this webinar, GEFA staff shared insight with potential borrowers about the revised process for determining principal forgiveness. Requirements of the State Revolving Fund GEFA staff familiarized potential borrowers with the requirements the federal government places on State Revolving Fund (SRF) loans through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Lead Service Line Inventory and Replacement Staff from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) and GEFA highlighted the lead service line inventory component of the federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. Speakers covered steps on how to get started with the inventory and shared related tools and resources. Financing Emerging Contaminant Projects GEFA staff highlighted the portion of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that is reserved for addressing emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
